Umbrella and digital schemes
Two programmes shape how almost every other farm benefit reaches you. PM-RKVY is the big funding umbrella: it bankrolls state-run projects for soil health, organic farming, machinery, micro-irrigation, and agroforestry — you meet it whenever you apply for those subsidies at your state portal. The Digital Agriculture Mission is the plumbing: it issues the digital Farmer ID and crop registries that schemes like PM-KISAN increasingly check before paying out.
- Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (PM-RKVY) — Rs 57,074.72 crore cafeteria umbrella (approved October 2024) funding nine components from soil health to agri-startups, delivered through state agriculture departments.
- Digital Agriculture Mission / AgriStack — Rs 2,817 crore mission creating the free Farmer ID, geo-referenced village maps, and digital crop survey; register via your state AgriStack portal or a CSC camp.
